“Selected Interpretations of the
International Building Code 2006”

The first edition of the International Building Code was published in 1997. The code was patterned on three legacy codes previously developed by the organizations that constitute the International Code Council (ICC).

Kelly will share new interpretations of the Code and what to expect in the 2009 Code. Sections of the Code that will be discussed include:

·   Definitions

·   Measuring Fire Separation Distances

·   Use Groups

·   Construction Types

·   Allowable Areas

·   Means of Egress

·   Fire Protection Systems

·   Civil Rights and The Building Code

Bring your questions!   A Question and Answer session will follow
the presentation. All attendees will receive a handout/workbook.
