Building & Grounds Supervisor/Trades Technician IV

Virginia
Western Community College located in Roanoke, Virginia is accepting
applications for a Trades Technician IV/Building and Grounds Supervisor.
Provides oversight and supervision in all aspects of buildings/grounds
maintenance operations for the college. Oversees contractual services and
provides assistance related to Construction Administration involving
renovation and construction projects.

Qualifications:
Must have supervisory experience
related to a facilities maintenance program/project management and knowledge
of health, safety, state and federal building codes and regulations.
Excellent customer service skills. Effective oral and written communication
and administrative management skills including budgeting and planning, cost
estimating, purchasing and material management. Demonstrated skills in the
use of AutoCAD and commonly used spreadsheet, database and maintenance
software programs. Desire Associate’s degree in architecture, building
construction project design/management or other related discipline.
Experience in educational setting or facilities maintenance program with
knowledge of state procurement policies is preferred. |

Education:
Requires education, training
and/or experience equivalent to a two-year degree in architecture, building
construction project/design management, or a related field |
